Method and limitations

Useful models, visible limits

Mangrove Tools turns bounded business questions into estimates you can inspect. The result is a planning aid, not a promise.

Start with the decision

Each tool begins with a specific choice or planning question, then asks only for the information needed to address it. Start at Mangrove Tools for the full library, or use Analytics when the decision depends on historical business data.

Work in the browser

Calculator and analytics inputs are processed on your device. They are not submitted to Mangrove Tools servers. The privacy page explains the separate, aggregate traffic measurement used on the site.

Show the model

Inputs, assumptions, and outputs are named so you can see what drives a result. Results are estimates, and assumptions can fail when the data is sparse, the market changes, or the model does not fit the situation.

Use benchmarks carefully

Benchmarks are references rather than universal targets. Audience quality, niche, offer, channel, season, and execution can all make a reasonable reference point misleading for a particular business.

State confidence and caveats

Where a range, confidence indicator, or guardrail is available, use it as part of the answer rather than treating the midpoint as exact. For more context on the project and its priorities, see About Mangrove Tools.

What the tools do not claim

The tools do not provide legal, financial, or guaranteed-performance advice. They do not guarantee revenue, conversion, sponsorship fill, forecast accuracy, or the outcome of any business decision. Verify material decisions with current data and qualified professional guidance when appropriate.
